Does being sick help you quit smoking?

So I’ve been sick for the past week.  It really, really sucked.  I’m finally getting it together here to be able to write cogently again.  I’m drinking a ton of water to balance out all the stuff that I’m blowing out of my nose.  Snot, however, isn’t the point of this post, quitting smoking is.  See, Lorraine and I planned on quitting April 1 but I caught this killer cold/flu thing last Sunday.  Smoking became just something that I just couldn’t do.  During the week, Wednesday especially, I had no energy or desire to smoke, so I didn’t.

Which made me wonder, is there something about being sick that helps you to quit smoking?  I know of several people who smoked for a long time, got really sick and just stopped.  I a part of a smoke last week and it just didn’t do anything for me.  I didn’t even enjoy it.  Just didn’t crave it or want it.

So now starts the smoke free time.

not surprising, smoking while sick should feel just awful, maybe they want to get rid of the feeling alltogether. im now 3 months off smoking. i tried pills patches and hypnosis. i can say its a relief and more money better spent elsewhere.
