No smoking day two …
Yesterday my body was letting me know, in a big hariy way, that it wanted nicotine. And I gave it some. Thanks to nicotine inhaler. Wow, that worked great. In fact, I haven’t had a craving all day today.
So, scientifically, where are we at here? The physical cravings, well I’m sure I’m not done with those, the mental stuff. Yeah that’s a tough road still.
The brain is a funny thing. It can decide that something is really good and you just feel that you have to do it. It’s a habit. I smoke on the phone, for example. I also bite my nails. Another habit. I do that when I’m bored or nervous.
The science behind breaking habits is pretty interesting to me. You have some real chemical processes going on plus some non-chemical mental stuff too.
